Nestle – Sustainable investor in the Bulgarian economy
NESTLE has started its operations in Bulgaria in 1994 and since then, for 27 tears, it has been a business leader in the Food & Beverages sector in the country, preferred employer, and a key economic investor in Bulgaria. For the past years, the company had only two distinctive occasions to talk about the company’s investments in production – the opening of new lines for KitKat in 2008 and the opening of the renewed line for KitKat in 2014 with the participation of representatives of central and local authorities. In 2020, during global health crisis which resulted in substantial economic struggles around the world and in Bulgaria, the company invested BGN 23 million in its production capacity in Sofia Factory. As a result, Nestle Bulgaria received a Certificate for investor Class A from the Bulgarian Investment Agency and was named “Investor of the Year”.
To mark this special occasion for both Nestle and the Bulgarian economy, and to demonstrate the constant production improvement that Nestle is making, we organized the first ever virtual tour in Factory Sofia for key institutional representatives and media with host Sarah Vuittenez – Sofia Factory Manager. To adhere to all restrictive measures, the event was online, which gave the opportunity for invited guests from all over the country to participate and take the virtual tour. The event was coupled with effective corporate communication campaign.
