Information campaign in support of organ donation, entitled “To Give Life”
In October 2020, for the second year in a row, PR Play organised and carried out an information campaign in support of organ donation, entitled “To Give Life”. It was held as part of the social responsibility of Astelas Bulgaria in partnership with the Bulgarian Society of Nephrology (BSN) and the New Bulgarian University (NBU). The aim of the campaign was to raise public awareness regarding transplants and to draw attention to the benefits of organ donation and its implementation in Bulgaria. Art was used as the main carrier of the messages of the campaign and the promotion of the topic. We organized two exhibitions in the central parts of the cities of Varna and Plovdiv. The exhibitions consisted of works by students majoring in Fine Arts at NBU.
Street art also was part of the campaign. On the eve of October 10, European Day for Organ Donation and Transplantation, we held a media event for the official opening of an impressive mural “A part of you can be a new life for another”. The work, 12 metres high, covers 108 square metres on the wing of a residential building in central Sofia. Beautiful murals were also painted on the walls of the Clinic of Nephrology and Transplantation at Alexandrovska University Hospital. The murals were painted by the artist JahOne for the purposes of the campaign. Through art and giving our surroundings an improved appearance, we attracted the attention of a large part of society through the media and social networks.
