The Bulgarian Red Cross – Do it for the Ones You Love – a Campaign with a cause for all of us

We all go to great lengths for those we love – sometimes this can be the most powerful force motivating us to do wonders. The team of M3 Communications used this simple life truth and turned it into a full-scale information campaign for the Bulgarian Red Cross in the context of the global pandemic.

The past year has put us all in an unprecedented situation in the face of the global COVID-19 pandemic – an event that left nobody’s life untouched. In this contrast times of ups and downs, we all continue to fight our battles, we all fight as one with the common threat – the pandemic. Yet, with the whole world still watching and still talking about it, numerous fake news on the topics emerged, oceans of misinformation flooded the digital sphere and audiences simply denying the measures and the so called “new normal” appeared.

In this context, we developed a multi-layered campaign strategy with a great cause – to highlight the importance of following the anti-pandemic measures, fight fake news and resonate to the public on a more personal and emotional level – after all, we are in this together. It was realized in several months during which we employed various creative tactics to reach out to the target audience, focusing greatly on the digital presence as the most effective way to approach people. It was part of the Global Appeal of the International Federation of the National Societies of the Red Cross/Red Crescents, supported by USAID.
