Building of positive image of Sofia Airport concessionaire
On 5th July 2018 the Bulgarian state opened a tender for 35 years concession of Sofia Airport. Five prominent and authoritative candidates submitted needed documentation: Manchester Airports Group; Fraport; Aéroports de Paris Group; Meridiam Fund and Strabag (SOF Connect consortium) with Munich Airport and SSB Group – Turkish company with Copenhagen Airport. After several prolongations of the deadline for documentation submit on 17th July 2019 the Bulgarian state announced as winners for the 35-years concession of Sofia Airport the consortium SOF Connect (French investment fund Meridiam – 99%, and Austrian building company Strabag – 1%) with third party operator Munich Airport.
