Melexis expansion in Sofia – media event
Melexis is a global supplier of micro-electronic semiconductor solutions and stands for engineering that enables the best imaginable future. Melexis’ products are used in industries such as automotive, smart buildings, medical, etc. More than 600 people are working in the company’s site in Bulgaria, which makes it the biggest one globally. United Partners started working with Melexis in July 2018 when the company announced the launch of an ambitious 5-year building expansion plan aiming to further extend the manufacturing space, R&D, and warehouse facilities in Sofia. In 2021 with the final preparations for the opening of the new building and the announcement of 160 new job openings, UP was challenged to organize a media event. This was the first big live event after the outbreak of COVID-19. It took place in the new building of Melexis, which was still under construction at that time. What made the occasion special was the first visit of the newly appointed CEO of the company – Marc Biron. The event was structured in two parts – a panel discussion with 5 C-level speakers from Melexis and a tour in the new production. United Partners managed to generate extensive coverage across different media outlets including print, online, and TV.
