bTV Comedy turns 15 with Spanish superstar Nacho Guerreros

In 2024, bTV Comedy celebrated its 15th anniversary with a major campaign that united internal and external audiences, creating an emotional connection with viewers and reinforcing the channel’s position as a leader in comedy content. The culmination of the initiative was the exclusive guest appearance of Spanish actor Nacho Guerreros – the on-screen Coque from the cult series „La que se avecina“ („The New Neighbours“), which we tied in with the announcement that bTV Comedy would broadcast season 15 of the series ahead of Spain. His visit to Bulgaria included two important events. An official press conference was held on 29 November, attended by more than 20 journalists, the Spanish ambassador Miguel Alonso Berio, the director of the Cervantes Institute in Sofia – Juan Carlos Vidal, the entire dubbing team of the series and students from the Spanish High School. On 30 November, the long-awaited fan meeting took place at the Paradise Center Mall and attracted 4000 people, according to Spanish media “Nueve Cuatro Uno”. A BTL marketing campaign was developed, including a special area where fans could take photos and get autographs. The event was covered in over 30 national and international publications, including leading Spanish media. Following Nacho’s visit and extensive communication, interest in the channel increased significantly and bTV Comedy became the most watched thematic channel in Bulgaria (18-49, GARB), ranking just behind the three national polythematic channels.
