Chairski Lakes – Biodiversity Capsules in the Rhodopes / Interimage for DEVIN
Founded in 1992, DEVIN is the leader on Bulgaria’s mineral and spring water market. Its source and bottling facilities are found in the heart of the Rhodope Mountains where DEVIN brand products come from. What has DEVIN to do with peatlands? A lot. As a responsible company DEVIN invests in regional development, environmental protection and education. In 2021, DEVIN was the first Bulgarian bottled water company to achieve carbon neutrality. In 2022, it received the B Corp certification given to companies meeting the highest social and environmental standards. As a B Corp, DEVIN strives to use the power of business to do good, inspire people to reconnect with nature and drive sustainable transformation. Even more importantly, DEVIN has a spectacular record of protecting natural resources around the town of Devin. Along with other regional nature-friendly projects it has inspired a campaign for the conservation of a natural gem – the stunning Chairski Lakes peatland area in the Rhodopes. DEVIN rallies support for peatland conservation The Chairski Lakes – Biodiversity Capsules in the Rhodopes initiative is a corporate-driven conservation project by Devin EAD, engaging both internal (employees, corporate stakeholders) and external audiences (scientists, environmentalists, communities, media, and influencers) in restoring the peatland ecosystem. The project’s focus is on enhancing biodiversity conservation while fostering public awareness and community involvement.
