European Parliament in Bulgaria: Media Campaign – Use Your Voice
The European Parliament in Bulgaria launched a high-impact communication campaign to increase voter participation in the European Elections, delivering a powerful message about the importance of democracy, freedom, and civic engagement.
At the heart of the campaign was the 4-minute documentary “Passing the Torch of Democracy”, featuring real, heartfelt messages from an older generation of Europeans to their grandchildren. These genuine voices from across the EU shared emotional reflections on the value of voting, reinforcing the role of citizens in shaping Europe’s future. To further amplify the message, the campaign developed a series of shorter audiovisual materials and visuals.
A comprehensive multi-channel strategy ensured maximum reach and engagement. The campaign, executed in collaboration with the European Parliament in Bulgaria, secured key media partnerships with GoGuide, Dir.bg, and Economedia, alongside prime-time placements on Nova TV and bTV. Additionally, advertising extended to Sofia’s metro stations, leading radio stations, and major city cinemas, ensuring widespread visibility.
The initiative stood out as a non-partisan and socially impactful campaign, successfully driving voter awareness and engagement. By leveraging compelling storytelling and a strategic media presence, it reinforced the European Parliament’s mission to inspire democratic participation and encourage young people to take an active role in Europe’s future.
