Sea Treasures

Burgasko, the fastest-growing beer in Bulgaria’s core segment, is deeply rooted in the sea territory, taking its name from Burgas. However, in recent years, the Bulgarian Black Sea coast has faced increasing criticism. Conversations are dominated by negativity, with people saying things like “The sea isn’t what it used to be”, “There’s no place left untouched”, and “Overdevelopment has ruined our coast”. The once-beloved seaside is now often dismissed as overcrowded, polluted, and commercialized.

Instead of ignoring the controversy, Burgasko chose to stand up for the Bulgarian sea. The brand launched “Sea Treasures”, a documentary series dedicated to protecting and celebrating the beauty of the Black Sea coast.

Through four episodes, “Sea Treasures” showcased breathtaking hidden spots along the Bulgarian coast, revealing them through the eyes of those who know the sea best—the people who live by it. Fishermen, surfers, and local storytellers each took us to their favorite place, a personal treasure of the Black Sea, showing viewers that the coast still holds untouched beauty and magic.

To go beyond just storytelling, we collected all these locations on an interactive website, where people could navigate through the featured spots and find their own way back to the sea. Burgasko didn’t just tell stories—we gave people a reason to return to the Black Sea and rediscover its hidden beauty. And preserve it.
