A qualified barrister, Andrew has over 33 years of experience in EU law and public affairs, directing the Brussels public affairs offerings at Rud Pedersen Public Affairs, Rode Public Policy, Havas PR, Weber Shandwick APCO Worldwide Brussels. With expertise in all aspects of Internal Market policy, health and consumer protection, competition and trade policy, he has managed many major and pan-European communications campaigns working for clients such as Bayer, Pepsico, The Coca-Cola Company, Unilever, Monsanto, Gillette, Diageo, Cadbury Schweppes, The Estee Lauder companies, SODEXO, Hitachi, Provident Financial, Natwest Bank, Celesio, Stanleybet International, United Technologies Corporation, Doc Morris, the EAMSP, Abbot, the Drones for Europe Alliance and RSM International.
An established figure in EU public affairs and communications, he has sat since 2006 on the management committee of EPACA (The European Association of Public Affairs Consultancies). He chaired the AMCHAM EU Better Regulation Taskforce from 2001-2003, was a Council Member of the British Chamber of Commerce from 2003-2007 and served as Vice President of the Public Affairs Committee of COBCOE (the Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe) 2007-2015. For 6 years he taught the Masters 2 Degree Course on EU public affairs theory and practice at the Université Paris Dauphine and was a Faculty Member of the European Training Institute. He regularly writes and speaks on public affairs. He works in English, French and German and speaks some Dutch and Spanish.
