Futureproof: Digital skills for life – Yettel’s Online Safety and Digital Skills Development Program
Digital literacy has become a core life skill, essential for personal growth, professional development, and active participation in society. Yettel’s Online Safety and Digital Skills Development Program is the longest running CSR initiative by the company initially designed to equip children with the knowledge, confidence and practical abilities needed to thrive in the digital age. The program later expanded to guide parents and educators, creating a community for digital safety. In 2025, the program further broadened its educational scope, focusing even more on learning and skills acquisition through interactive formats, classroom-ready resources and professional training for teachers. Throughout the year, online safety education reached 60,309 children, while 12,525 people (students, parents and educators) developed digital skills through lessons, training and practical tools.
By combining online games, a newly developed self-assessment tool about digital skills, formal education, teacher webinars and parental guidance into one coherent learning ecosystem, Yettel bridges informal and formal education.
The program supports lifelong learning by helping communities develop critical thinking, responsible online behaviour and adaptability—skills increasingly required both in education and future careers. This approach positions digital safety and digital skills not as isolated topics, but as foundational competencies for sustainable personal and professional development.
