Sustainable well-being, sustainable performance
The conversation around personal wellbeing and mental health in the workplace is no longer a distant trend, it is a daily reality. DM Bulgaria, the biggest drugstore retailer in Bulgaria has a long-standing commitment to provide good conditions for people to work there – developing employer branding and internal communication platform under the moto Live your work differently.
In 2025, in accordance with this strategic direction, we in Paragraph 42 developed holistic communication campaign directed to increase of the sustainable well-being of the employees, which have the power to turn into the better and sustainable performance.
The personal well-being and mental health initiative was created as a practical, employee-centered response. Instead of assuming what support was needed, we began by listening – an anonymous internal survey gave employees a safe space to share their challenges. We analyze the results and together with experts developed three directions of improvement of well-being of DM people: sleep, nutrition and movement. We three expert-led workshops, each dedicated to one of the identified areas.
Certified specialists in sleep science, nutrition and physical activity all experienced in corporate settings translated complex topics into practical, applicable advice. After each workshop, employees were invited to join short, voluntary challenges designed to help transform knowledge into sustainable daily habits, turning awareness into real behavioral change.
