The small world of the Big bank

In Bulgaria, banking is still a conservative game – big banks, long history, big marketing budgets and a lot of generic “happy people” stories. Into this landscape steps Bigbank – a fully digital niche player with Estonian roots, low awareness, fragmented past communication and no chance to play the same media game as the big competitors. The goal wasn’t to launch another campaign, but to build a distinctive brand platform that unites image, product, performance, PR and social – and lets Bigbank stand out on its own terms. We started by redefining what a “big bank” means today. The platform “The BIG bank for you” shifts “big” from branches and media spend to what feels big for each client – fully digital service, fast decisions, top customer support, no hidden fees, no bureaucracy. On top of this we created an unconventional, category-breaking creative universe: “The Small World of the Big Bank” – a playful miniature world, visualised entirely with AI-generated tiny characters, situations and motions. This small world became home to all communication: from full-funnel brand and product activity in digital, OOH and metro, to PR stories, a Christmas film with miniature versions of the real team, 3D-printed figures and a new TikTok channel where the tiny Bigbank team comes to life. All this lets a small digital bank look and behave nothing like the big, conservative ones – and turn limited budgets into strong business traction and top-performing digital results.
