The Bulgarian Association of PR Agencies (BAPRA) opens the collection of applications for awards in the twelfth edition of BAPRA Bright Awards. The gathering of the entities will last until April 3, 2022, and the ceremony is scheduled for May 12.
This is the only competition for achievements in the field of communications in Bulgaria with an international jury of leading professionals from around the world. This year's chairman will be the legendary Paul Holmes, founder of The Holmes Report and the world's most influential PR analyst.
"This year with the competition we want to say a big "thank you" to the people in marketing and communications - those with whom we share our professional path. We know what they have gone through in recent years and what it costs them to continue to create and be world-class professionals. The awards are just that - they are from people to people " - said Alexander Hristov, PhD, Acting Chairman of BAPRA.
Everyone who applies for the competition will be able to donate money for the initiative bg4ua (https://www.bg4ua.com/), connecting Bulgarians and foreigners who provide shelter, transport, work, products, and services with Ukrainians fleeing from the horrors of war.
Campaigns and projects implemented in the period March 2021 - February 2022 will compete in the competition. The categories are again 14 in number, 2 of which are special.Applications for participation will be accepted through the online platform of the competition http://www.bapra.bg/20222. Applications are prepared in English and there is no limit to the number of projects that can be submitted by one company. Partners of the competition are traditionally Manager magazine, B2B media, Your Business magazine, 24 Chasa newspaper, Business Global, Redlink, as well as the Bulgarian Association of Communication Agencies, the Bulgarian Forum of Business Leaders, and IAB Bulgaria.

Main categories in BAPRA Bright Awards 2022
- Consumer communications – campaigns for promotion of products or services to consumers, education, and/ or engagement of consumers.
- Corporate communications (Reputation and brand management) – campaigns that enhance company’s reputation through communications among businesses and society.
- Event or launch – any event, product launch, or other that engaged company with the target audience in a creative, thoughtful, and demonstrably impactful way.
- CSR – programs and initiatives that are related to social responsibility in various fields, implemented by a company or organization.
- 5. Not-For-Profit communications – communication campaign or a program by or on behalf of charities and not-for-profit organizations to increase public awareness for a topic of interest to a whole society
- Influencer marketing – a communication campaign that used one or more influencers in the most appropriate, and impactful way to reach their core audience and achieve outstanding results.
- Employer Branding – communication campaign positioning a company or organization to attract new employees and/or to promote it as a perspective employer
- 8. Employee Communications (Internal Communication) – a campaign directed at a company's existing employees and/or increasing motivation of the team
- Crisis and Issues Management – managing crisis situations or difficult issues – by promoting an alternative perspective, or indeed by keeping an issue out of the media altogether.

- Innovation PR Award – campaigns that can’t be categorized or limited in one category only; campaigns with brave and strong creative ideas or such using various channels in a non-standard manner and in an innovative way.
