Accenture Bulgaria: Equal in work, together in success

Accenture is a leader in the equality policies at work. Inclusion and diversity are key priorities, part of its global policy which are also successfully implemented in Bulgaria, within the IT teams on a national level. One of the main goals of the company is to reach 50/50 gender mix by 2025.

By mid-2019, the IT industry in the country was hungry for new and qualified members. And the experts quickly learned that the investment in women’s professional development can pay off very quickly. We, Paragraph 42, a preferred partner of Ketchum in Bulgaria, partnered with the global technology leader – Accenture with the main objective to encourage more women to join their teams.

Of course, there were restrictions. Among these were the lack of knowledge of the company as an established employer in the country, of its values and philosophy, of the favorable social policies aimed at mothers and women it provides. Our task was precisely this – to inform all stakeholders by telling them what they were missing out on and how much they could get.

We accepted the challenge and developed a communication approach, combining a list of diversified activities – an event for all the stake holders, a master class to imrove the qualification and the expertise of the women working in IT, a video shooting at Accenture Bulgaria’s office.

The results were amazing! The potential audience reached through all channels was 745,000 people. And the gender mix in the company was improved by 6%.
