TEDI
Tymbark Bulgaria and the TEDI juices brand have been supporting schools with different projects throughout the years. In 2020, all of us faced unprecedented challenges due to Covid-19 and schoolchildren were heavily affected. They stayed at home for long periods of time and their abilities for safe movement in the urban environment were fading during the lockdown and online schooling. This put them at risk and required to the renewal of their knowledge of rules and regulations, in order to be safe on the streets, once they returned back to school in September.
TEDI joined forces with experts from the Ministry of Education and Science and inspectors from the Ministry of Interior – Traffic Police to create a campaign addressing that problem. Together we selected 30 schools in Bulgaria situated in dangerous traffic areas with prerequisites for accidents involving kids. In collaboration with the institutions, we developed three virtual traffic safety lessons that aimed to make kids familiar with the most common situations which they experience as participants in the road traffic as well as the most common mistakes that they make on the road. We prepared scenarios for three key situations – Pedestrians, Passengers and Riders. Based on the situations, together with Screen Brothers production studio, we created three interactive virtual lessons which teachers presented to their classes.
By doing so, we found a way to fulfil an educational campaign despite the restricted access to the schools in the complicated pandemic situation.
