COVID Communication
The COVID pandemic radically changed the implementation and content of Vivacom’s internal communication. At the forefront came the need to increase the motivation of employees during the long-term work from home, and to from activities that reduce the psychological pressure that this unusual situation creates. In order to ensure an optimal working environment, internal communication during the pandemic was focused in two directions – on the one hand it was the preservation of the physical and mental health of the employees, therefore continuous access to useful information through the internal channels was ensured. On the other hand, internal communication increased employee engagement, maintained a sense of unity and thus contributed to ensuring business continuity.
During the first lockdown in Bulgaria, a weekly internal newsletter under the title #IstayAtHomewithVIVACOM was created. Part of the campaign was also the formation of an internal club for Vivacom employees, where information meetings were held with epidemiologists and representatives of the National Patients’ Organization related to vaccines and vaccination against COVID.The inside club provided the employees with access not only to timely and up-to-date information related to the epidemic, but took care of the entertainment and organized a Literary Club for meetings with high-profile Bulgarian writers.
