Andrew Johnson

As a Brussels veteran with over 28 years of experience in EU Law and public affairs, Andrew has worked on a wide range of policy issues and communications campaigns, specializing in FMCG regulation, internal market, competition, trade and consumer policy in consumer goods and services, financial and digital services and healthcare. Andrew joined Rud Pedersen from RPP, where he was Group Managing Director. He previously ran the EU public affairs office for Havas, as head of EU public affairs and partner. He has also held management positions in several other leading agencies.

Qualified as a Barrister at law, he practiced for 12 years, in the UK, as an officer of the British Army Legal Corps and then in Brussels, before starting a career in public affairs in 1997. Andrew has served for 15 years on the Management Committee of the European Public Affairs Consultancies Association (EPACA). For a number of years he taught EU public affairs course of the Masters II degree at the Université de Paris (Dauphine) and he regularly writes and teaches on public affairs issues. He has judged the BAPRA bright awards for nearly a decade.
