Lidl Regional Effect
“The Lidl Effect” is a concept that the Lidl retail chain first introduced in 2020, when it celebrated its 10th anniversary on the Bulgarian market. In reality it is an assessment of the socio-economic impact of Lidl Bulgaria’s activities and includes both the direct impact of the company through its cost structure and the indirect effects resulting from the consumption of the company’s employees and interactions with other sectors. Now the company has turned its attention to the cities where Lidl stores operate. The big effect presented in detail into all small parts – in all cities in Bulgaria, where the company is represented The aim is to show some important facts as: what is the impact of the business on small and large settlements, how the lives of people and the community are changing, how the economy of these cities managed to develop and flourish precisely. All of this becomes possible thanks to the investments that an international company like Lidl puts into their development. As the previous year a special analysis was prepared by experts from the Institute for Market Economics (IME).
