Erdem Koch is a seasoned communications professional with over 20 years of experience in public relations, journalism, and strategic communications.

He began his career as a radio journalist with the Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) in Melbourne after earning a double degree in Law and Media from La Trobe University. Erdem went on to work across Australia’s major newspapers before joining the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) as the executive producer of Insiders, the country’s most-watched political discussion program.

While completing his PhD, Erdem also taught journalism to undergraduate and postgraduate students. He briefly ventured into politics, managing an election campaign.

In 2018, Erdem transitioned to corporate communications, taking on roles with a Fortune 500 company in Australia and Malaysia. By 2022, he joined TikTok in Dubai, contributing to the world’s largest start-up.

Currently, Erdem leads his own consultancy, guiding brands and individuals to excel in communication strategy. He also works with the U.S.-based nonprofit Verra and provides communications expertise to the Aroca Group.
