And just like that, Sofia woke up with exciting news: “A 120-meter LONG TABLE gathers thousands in the Oborishte district!”

The initiative, launched in July 2024, aims to unite our communities through the simple act of sharing food. Bring food, and meet the neighbor!

Last summer the festive event transformed two central streets, Ekzarh Josif and the iconic Oborishte Str, into a vibrant hub of community spirit, creativity, and culinary wonders. Organizers and volunteers set up an impressive 120-meter-long table, inviting everyone to bring homemade dishes or support local vendors. Over 50 businesses, street musicians, artists, NGOs, and thousands of citizens gathered to share food, stories, and ideas. Representatives from nearby embassies joined the festivities, enhancing community engagement.

The result? Transformed streets that fostered a sense of togetherness and reimagined public space — if only for a day.
