Kamenitza: Sustainable future
Kamenitza AD is one of the leading brewing companies in Bulgaria, part of the international Molson Coors Beverage Company. The company has more than 142 years of experience, history and traditions, laying the foundations of the brewing industry in Bulgaria. Kamenitza marked a significant milestone in its sustainability journey with the official opening of the first stage of its own solar park in the brewery in Haskovo.This pioneering project, covering an impressive 13,000 square meters, is strategically designed to generate nearly 30% of the brewery’s operational electricity, embodying Kamenitza’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development. Notably, this landmark project stands as the first solar park of such scale within the Molson Coors group worldwide and holds the distinction of being the largest in the region. The solar panels are installed on the roofs of their own buildings and do not occupy additional land area-a choice made after a detailed study. For the opening of the solar park we organized a special event for the media and a number of dignitaries, representatives of state and local authorities. It also included a trip to the brewery, during which all the guests had the chance to go around the brewery and see the process of manufacturing beer.
