Engineering Transparency
Orgachim AD is one of the oldest industrial companies in Bulgaria, with over 140 years of history in the chemical industry. A market leader in the production of paints, coatings, and specialty chemicals, the company plays a key role in the industrial development of Ruse and the region. Orgachim is among the largest employers in Ruse and a structural contributor to the regional economy. Operating in a sector under strict regulatory oversight and high public sensitivity toward environmental standards, sustainability and safety are central to its corporate strategy. In 2024, Orgachim faced intensified public and media scrutiny following complaints regarding solvent odors and concerns about air quality. Regulatory inspections and an imposed sanction created a negative reputational context. This was not a one-off incident, but a structural local environmental risk requiring strategic management. To handle this, Interimage designed and implemented a comprehensive crisis management model combining immediate response, independent scientific expertise, institutional coordination, and long-term ESG positioning. The agency’s task was therefore to protect trust in the company through evidence, transparency, and structured crisis communication. Its systematic efforts resulted in the stabilization of media tone, prevention of escalation, and transformation of the crisis narrative into one of transparency and responsible leadership.
