UPLINK – A1’s 30th anniversary fashion collection
To celebrate its 30th anniversary, A1 Bulgaria transformed technology into fashion.
UPLINK is a conceptual fashion collection created from decommissioned devices donated by A1 employees and reimagined by renowned Bulgarian designer Nikolay Bozhilov. More than a creative activation, the project symbolized three decades of connectivity by giving physical, human form to technology itself.
All employees were invited to participate through A1’s internal social platform, and nearly 3,700 colleagues saw the call within days. The response was immediate – devices carrying personal and corporate memory were voluntarily donated.
Fashion became the medium. Technology took human form.
Through cables, circuit boards, lenses, displays and other electronic elements, the collection interpreted A1’s 30-year evolution — from analog beginnings to the era of artificial intelligence. Each look represented a stage of communication transformation, and together they formed a powerful visual time capsule.
The collection debuted in front of 2,200 employees at A1’s annual summer event and was later presented to media and featured on the cover of EVA magazine.
UPLINK demonstrated that connectivity is not only infrastructure — it is emotion, shared history and the human bond that outlives technology.
